EMMA AND KYLE
Trading the familiar fields of Iowa for the mountains of Glacier National Park, they chose an intimate wedding day that reflected everything they love most: the outdoors, adventure, faith, and the people who mean the most to them. With fewer than 20 guests, their wedding wasn't about a big production or a perfectly planned celebration. It was about something much more meaningful; a day spent making promises to one another, surrounded by their immediate families and the beauty of Montana.
Their story began at the gym, but their connection grew through the things they love sharing together. From hiking, hunting, fishing, kayaking, and horseback riding to cooking, baking, running, and growing in their faith, they have built a relationship around supporting each other's passions and stepping into each other's worlds. Kyle helped Emma get her first buck, and Emma was there to support Kyle through his first riding lesson. And when Kyle proposed after Emma's first recognized horse trial, following Captain's perfect cross-country round, it was another reminder that their relationship has always been about cheering each other on.
On June 26, their wedding day began with sunshine and clear skies. The morning unfolded at their Airbnb, where they prepared for the day, shared moments with family, and got ready to begin this next chapter together. With Emma's mother-in-law, Jenny, doing her hair and her bridal gown from Dantela Bridal in Chicago, the day carried those personal touches that make a wedding uniquely theirs.
They chose private vows, creating a moment just for the two of them—a chance to slow down, be present, and speak from the heart before continuing their adventure together. With family close by and the possibility of their nieces serving as flower girls, the day was filled with the kind of little moments that become the biggest memories. And then came the rain.
The skies had been sunny all morning, but just as the time came for their vows, the weather changed. The rain began to fall, adding an unexpected twist to the day. But it didn't phase Emma and Kyle one bit. Because when you're marrying your best friend, surrounded by the people you love, the weather doesn't get to decide how beautiful your wedding day will be.
After all, they say rain on your wedding day brings good luck. And if that's true, these two are already off to a pretty incredible start. Their day continued against the breathtaking backdrop of Glacier National Park, where Montana's mountains, open skies, and wild beauty offered a setting as adventurous and genuine as their relationship. Emma shared that the moments in between were especially important to them. The unplanned laughter, the quiet glances, the little interactions that might otherwise go unnoticed. And those are often the moments that tell the truest story.
Their wedding wasn't about perfection. It was about presence. It was about faith, family, adventure, and choosing each other through whatever the day might bring.
Iowa may be where their story began, but Montana will forever hold the memories of the day they said, “I do.”
A little sunshine, a little rain, a whole lot of love, and a lifetime of adventures still waiting ahead.
Emma & Kyle — may your marriage always be filled with the same courage to explore, the faith that grounds you, and the love that makes every place feel like home.
CHEERS!!
